This paper compares four types of automotive electric heating technology routes: resistance wire, positive temperature coefficient (PTC), thick film, and thin film, and conducts market research on leading automotive electric heater suppliers. It points out the development potential and existing bottlenecks of thin film electric heating technology.At present, the positive temperature coefficient(PTC) heating technology market is highly mature, and thin film thick film heating technology is a new technology. However, with the 800V high voltage platform becoming the future trend in the industry, the advantages of thin film thick film heating technology are prominent, and it is fully possible to become the next mainstream heating technology.
